Opening Reflection:
Joy often feels like something fleeting, tied to our circumstances—here, one moment, and gone the next. But what if joy isn’t something we chase but something we receive? What if joy is rooted not in what we do but in who Christ is?
Sit still for a moment:
Take a moment.
Close your eyes.
Breathe in deeply—let your fears and anxieties rise.
Breathe out slowly—release your worries.
Hear this truth:
"In Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore." (Psalm 16:11)
A Prayer for Joy:
Jesus, You are the source of my joy,
Not my plans, not my successes,
Not the absence of hardship,
But You.
You came to bring the good news of great joy,
Joy for all people—including me.
When I feel empty, remind me that Your joy is not a feeling, But it’s you.
When my joy feels far, remind me to draw close to You.
I was hoping you could fill me with a fullness of joy that is unshaken.
A Moment to Reflect:
Ask yourself:
What has been stealing my joy lately?
How can I reconnect with Christ today?
Marinate on this:
"These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full." (John 15:11)
Your New Declaration of Joy:
Even when life is crazy, joy is absolute. Joy is possible.
Even when the world feels uncertain, joy is steady.
Even when joy feels far, My God is near.
So, here is what I will do. I will abide in You, Jesus.
I will rest in Your love and bear its fruit.
And I will trust in Your promise:
Your joy is my strength.
